Step into the extraordinary world of BRABUS, where cutting-edge engineering meets unrivalled luxury and performance
For Brabus, building a high performance car is only the beginning. The German company has spent decades transforming already prestigious vehicles into machines designed to offer more power, distinctive styling and extensive personalization. Founded in Bottrop, Germany, in 1977 by Bodo Buschmann and Klaus Brackmann, Brabus became particularly famous for its work with Mercedes Benz vehicles. Today, the company led by Konstantin Buschmann has expanded well beyond its original tuning roots. Its portfolio now reflects a broader interpretation of luxury, combining engineering, exclusivity and customization across several categories.
Brabus built its reputation by modifying Mercedes models, often giving them significant performance upgrades alongside dramatic exterior and interior changes. Over time, the company expanded its automotive work to include vehicles from other premium manufacturers. Porsche, Range Rover, Rolls Royce and smart have all become part of its wider range, demonstrating how the Brabus approach can be applied to very different types of vehicles.
The brand has also moved beyond four wheels. Collaborations have introduced Brabus styled boats and motorcycles, including projects involving Finnish boat builder Axopar and motorcycle manufacturer KTM. These partnerships allow the company to apply its recognizable design philosophy to other forms of high performance transportation.
One example of the company's automotive approach is the Brabus 900 featured by social media manager Sandro Rasa. Based on a Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe, the vehicle has been comprehensively modified rather than simply receiving a few cosmetic changes. The 900 designation represents the extreme performance territory that has become closely associated with modern Brabus creations.
The company offers multiple vehicles carrying the Brabus 900 name, so the badge does not identify just one model. Different platforms can receive their own interpretation of the performance package. Brabus has also produced even more extreme Rocket versions, typically combining aggressive aerodynamic components, extensive carbon fiber and limited production with enormous power.
What makes the featured GLE based example particularly unusual is its claimed one of one specification. According to Rasa, no identical example exists, giving the vehicle a level of exclusivity that goes beyond its performance figures. For collectors, that uniqueness can be just as important as acceleration or horsepower.
Customization has become central to the Brabus identity. Exterior components, wheels, aerodynamic elements, upholstery and interior details can all contribute to making a finished vehicle feel substantially different from the model on which it was originally based. The objective is not simply to make a luxury car faster, but to create something more individual.
That philosophy explains how Brabus has developed from a specialist Mercedes tuner into a broader luxury performance brand. Whether working with an SUV, sports car, motorcycle or boat, the company follows a similar formula. Start with an already desirable machine, increase its performance and presence, then add enough personalization to make exclusivity part of the engineering.
